The Shepherd of the Hills was the beginning of the Branson phenomena.
People began pouring into this area to meet the characters from the best selling novel published in 1907, and to see the
beautiful landscape Wright has so vividly described. Now you have an
opportunity to visit the farm where the book was actually written! Enjoy
a ride in an open-air Jeep-drawn tram through the wooded 160-acre farm
with our Ozark Native tour guide. The Historic Uncle Ike’s Post Office
will be a stop on the tour, as it is now restored on our property. (Tower not included.) Tours operate April-Oct.
